Lorene is the newest addition to our growing team of assisted living and memory care professionals joining our premier retirement community in Redding. Lorene has a Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies. Her education and professional experience in senior living have prepared her to effectively articulate the unique vision of Oakmont Senior Living’s assisted living and memory care programs to our team members, residents, visitors and outside community.
Lorene moved to Redding, California more than 13 years ago to accept a position at Simpson University where she excelled as the Director of Student Outreach. While the position at Simpson University brought her to Redding, it was the scenery and outdoor activities that have kept her here for more than 13 years. When she is not assisting our residents and team members in both the memory care and assisted living facets of our premier retirement community, Lorene enjoys exploring the North State with her husband and son. As avid hikers and mountain bikers, they find no shortage of adventure in the trails and waters of Whiskeytown Lake.
Lorene discovered a passion for helping those living with Alzheimer’s, as well as the family and friends who support them, as a result of her own family’s journey caring for her grandmother. It was this deeply personal experience with memory care in her own family life that led Lorene to dedicate her life to seniors and their support networks.
After looking into many retirement communities, Lorene fell in love with Oakmont’s beautiful environment, exceptional commitment to service, and all-inclusive amenities. The icing on the cake was to find a community that embodied her passions and values in a location that is so picturesque. “One of the things I love about Oakmont of Redding is the combination of a gracious living environment coupled with excellent service. Our community is situated in a beautiful location and will provide a physical setting that is unmatched in the Redding area, however, it is the high standard of service and commitment to providing an excellent quality of life for our residents that makes Oakmont of Redding truly special.”
We could not be happier to have Lorene as part of our team at Oakmont of Redding. From your first interaction with her, you will feel her passion and excitement for our residents and the beauty of our campus in Redding.
